Recipes - Mama's Porcupines

  • 3 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 Cup raw rice
  • 3/4 Cup milk
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Put all ingredients together (except meat) and mix thoroughly, then add meat a small amount at a time mixing well. Make into generous size balls and brown. Put into a greased roaster and add 2 cans of condensed tomato soup and 2 cans of water and put into oven. Bake at 350 F for about 45 minutes to an hour. If you put potatoes in to bake at the same time, they will be ready to eat when you take out the Porcupines. Remember to check on the meat from time to time to make sure it doesn't go dry.
